Q.Luhr Jensen - Dipsy Diver A. Q: I have the precision trolling bible. Is there a way to calculate the dive cure for the "O - Ring" dipsy diver when using 15 lb. diameter test line instead 20 lb. test mono? I am using 50 lb. test 15 lb. diameter Berkley Whip Lash line.
A: Thank you for your question. The thinner the line, the deeper the dipsey will go. We have not specifically tested the dipsey diver using braided line at this time. Braided line doesn't react like monofilament, so you can't assume it would be the depth of 15lb mono, therefore it can't be calculated without actually testing it for exact depth.
