Q.Measuring line length A. Q: I was wondering how you guys went about measuring line length in reference to your precision trolling books. Did you actually measure the line or did you use a line counter reel? If you used a line counter reel I was wondering what make and model of reel you used and if you actually compared what the reel said to an actual measurement?
A: Thanks for your questions. Line measurement is one of the three most important aspects of diving depths. Therefore, we want to be able to accurately measure the line length. We do use line counter reels, There are several line counter reels on the market today. Diawa was the first company to manufacture these reels and we have been using them for years without having to replace them.
